Tokyo - Nikon Corporation mengumumkan dan memperkernalkan D80. Nikon digital tehnologi fotografi terbaru, yang merupakan kamera SLR digital dengan lensa yang dapat diganti, pengoperasian otomatis dan disain fitur mutakhir untuk memuaskan setiap fotografer dalam menciptakan foto indah dan mengabadikan momen spesial.

Auto White Balance (AWB) tingkat lanjut menciptakan warna alami dengan penyesuaian pada setiap nuansa, dan mencocokan WB pada sumber cahaya. Bagi mereka yang menginginkan pengaturan secara manual terdapat 6 pilihan al : (Incandescent, Fluorescent, Direct Sunlight, Flash, Cloudy, and Shade), dan juga pilihan "Preset" menggunakan abu - abu atau putih sebagai referensi.

Memastikan secara konsisten, cepat dan tepat mengunci focus diberbagai kondisi D80 dengan sistem 11-area AF. Pengadopsian versi baru Module sensor AF Nikon advance Multi-CAM 1000. ini merupakan 11 area AF tambahan pilihan baru pemfokus efektif yang akan menyenangkan untuk mendapatkan target tujuan. Sebagai contoh sistem dapat digunakan disetiap 11 area fokus, sensor tengah dapat juga dipindah kepengoprasian frame lebar untuk jangkauan yang lebih lebar.

Mode baru Area AF mengukur kesemua 11 area focus, Subjek utama, dan mengaktifkan hanya area tersebut. Siap menjepret saat momen khusus, D80 hanya membutuhkan 0,18 detik untuk aktif dan jeda waktu shutter 80 milisecond cepat saat ambil gambar 11 area auto fokus dengan pembantu AF. Proses gambar singkat dan di simpan dengan cepat pada SD memori. Begitu pula untuk lihat gambar dapat dengan cepat. Continuous shooting dengan kecepatan 3 frame per detik dapat menyimpan 100 file JPEG (ukuran FINE Medium atau smaller).

Berpeforma dan resolusi tinggi terbungkus dalam Body yang ramping, lebih kompak, D80 keseluruhan desain tombol kendali dimaksimalkan untuk kemudahan mengoperasian. • l ISO AUTO mode automatically adjusts sensitivity between ISO 100 to 1600 to maximize available light and achieve optimal exposure. Sensitivity can also be set manually between ISO 100 to 1600 in steps of 1/3 EV, plus HI-0.3, HI-0.7 and HI-1. Three levels of High ISO Noise Reduction are available when shooting at high ISO settings. Long Exposure Noise Reduction is also available when shooting at shutter speeds of 8 seconds or slower.
